It was a defining moment when a boss, in front of her peers, turned with glaring eyes and a piercing tone and said, “will you just speak already”! After over a year of this type of difficult leadership, Darlene actually could NOT speak. She froze, lost her voice and what little confidence she had left. However, this became the catalyst for the work she does now, passionately helping women keep and strengthen their voice especially when the moments really matter. 

 

Her new passion led her to earn her professional coaching certification and she has never looked back. When colleagues past and present found out about Darlene’s career change, none were surprised and eagerly affirmed that she was always a great coach.

 

Darlene continues to be an avid learner in service of her clients. She has a generous spirit to share what she knows and has learned through her own challenges, how to help make any workplace better one leader at a time, one conversation at a time.
